As many of you are already aware, our nephew Jason is battling a reoccurrence of cancer, despite a clean bill of health after his chemo treatments in 2022, the cancer has returned with vengeance. Jason is determined to beat this horrible disease and if anyone can look cancer in the face and stare it down, it’s Jason! Despite facing a difficult and life-threatening situation, Jason has embraced the challenge with faith, determination and an unbeatable spirit and resolve.
His treatment has already included multiple rounds of chemo in early 2023 and his current treatment will necessitate hospitalization with massive doses of chemo followed by stem cell replacement. There will be several rounds of this with an expected rehab and recuperation period to follow.
To state the obvious, these treatments will most likely take a devastating toll on Jason with many unanswered questions as to how his body will react to these ravaging treatments. While Jason has and will continue to battle with steadfast determination, there is simply no way for him to return to his normal routine and activities for the foreseeable future.
Cancer has not only attacked Jason, but has also significantly impacted the lives of all his loved ones, especially Michele, Julianna and young Jason. While Jason is fighting fiercely, his journey ahead is filled with far too many unknowns, uncertainties and a slew of medical and physical challenges.
His cancer comes with not only frightening health challenges, but also presents stressful and daunting financial hurdles. While Jason is fighting cancer with every ounce of his being, the sobering reality of continued mortgage payments, taxes, insurance, healthcare, utility and car payments, as well as additional routine living expenses for a family of four, still exists. Couple the above expenses with the realization that Jason will be out of work for many more months along with the looming presence of unforeseen bills, one begins to realize the tremendous impact this cancer will have on the Gladding Family.
Please consider assisting the Gladding Family during this extremely difficult time in their life. No amount is too small, or too large and your kindness and generosity will be so greatly appreciated by them. If you are unable to contribute financially at this time, we ask that you please continue to keep Jason, Michele, Julianna and young Jason in your hearts and prayers, especially during the next few months. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
