The Glenn Hild Painting Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
Hello! I'm BACK with one final request!
5 years ago I decided to hike the Pacific Crest Trail to raise money for the student art gallery that was being built in honor of my father (https://www.gofundme.com/f/the-art-of-hiking-2653-miles)
The fundraiser was a great success and kept me going on my 5 month hike through Washington, Oregon and California. I reached my fundraiser goal very close to the end, which was incredible. However, I did not get to finish my hike due to injury--turns out I had a broken hip and had to have surgery 30 MILES FROM THE END!
Since then, I found peace with the fact that I didn't get to "finish" my thruhike. But I was just down in San Diego and decided to go back to the place where I got off trail. It felt right, and I thought, 'What if I just keep going?'
So on February 20 (4 years and 3 months to the day), I finished my thruhike of the Pacific Crest Trail! I would love to have your help celebrating this achievement by raising enough money to support the Glenn Hild Painting Scholarship for one more year.
There are many causes out there you could be donating to, but this one is important to me. Help support young artists in central Illinois through this scholarship! They might end up like me :P
