Hi, my name is (Auntie) Jakki, and I am fundraising for my niece, Madeline, her partner Laird and their 6 boys.

On Saturday evening, my niece and her family lost everything in a horrific house fire. They all got out safely, thank goodness but only in the clothes they had on. They lost everything. The home that they had recently built, their dream home, was completely destroyed.

Yes, the possessions that we acquire throughout life can all be replaced, but it's all the little things that are irreplaceable - the letters from her Grandad (my Dad) that passed away, the items given to them by her grandparents, her boy's art from school and kindy that adorned their fridge...gone.

My heart breaks; they need all the essentials - socks, jocks, pjs, clothes, school uniforms, toiletries... all the things... but all the things for a young family of eight are expensive.
