The GLOVES ARE OFF in aid of Addenbrooke's !

Hi, Im Isaac Lewis 29, from Cambridge and over the past 3 months I have been training for Cambridgeshires White Collar Corporate boxing event taking place on the 16th of April in Aid of Addenbrookes Children's trust.

I train 5-6 times a week between The Training Shed in St ives and Albion Boxing Academy in Central Cambridge along Cherry Hinton road. I can quite honestly say the training has been gruelling, tiring but also humbling and I have never pushed myself so hard before in my life. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone thinking of giving it a go, to help with anything from mental health, self confidence, to general fitness.

I want to provide all the readers, sponsors and donators a little snippet of why I am doing all of this..

2020 I nearly lost my mum to Crohns disease, her life was turned upside down. Beginning of 2021 my dad had a series of strokes which changed his life forever, my niece was born with Hyperinsulinism which put an unbelievable amount of stress/Anxiety on her parents and at the end of 2021 I then discovered one of my best friends gets cancer which has now put his life on hold.

Terrible things happen in life but it’s what we learn from them, what we do about them to make a difference and no matter how bad it gets we always keep moving forward.

At the end of 2021 I weighed 103kg and was going in the wrong direction due to bad habits, a negative mindset and constant excuses . Beginning of 2022 I signed up to Albion Boxing Academy and since being there Ive lost 7kg, I now have a more positive mindset and I am far better version of me and  I've never looked back since.

I’ve decided to challenged myself in the most uncomfortable arena I could think of and to push my body and mind to its absolute limit, in order to raise as much money as possible for the men and women of the NHS that help the children wards of Addenbrooke's hospital, just as they do and have helped me and my family.

All funds raised will be donated towards the Addenbrookes a Robot Appeal.

I just want to thank you for taking the time to read this and hearing my story and thank you to everyone who donates and comes to support me on the night wether I win or lose it’s for a great cause.

Thank you!
