Good Samaritan - Detroit Police Officer - In Need

Donation protected
As some of you remember this incident was reported on television news and in Detroit newspaper articles on April 19, 2020. Our son Connor, known as the Good Samaritan, was struck by a malicious driver while attempting to save a dog on the westbound I-96 at Livernois in Detroit. At the time of the incident, Connor was a Detroit Police Officer in training. He was the President of his class at the Academy.

Connor was on his way home from work when he saw a dog on the expressway and knew he had to save it. Connor was on the side of the road when an impatient driver swerved around a stopped vehicle and struck him leaving him catastrophically injured. The driver then fled the scene. We are so deeply saddened to think that a person would flee the scene after hitting someone and leaving them so horribly injured. The Detroit Police Department did an incredible job and apprehended the driver within hours of the incident.

Michigan State Trooper Jesse Graffagnino saved Connor's life at the scene. Connor had no pulse and was not breathing. Officer Graffagnino's heroic efforts opened his airway and got his heart started again. Connor suffered catastrophic injuries included; 11 broken ribs, massive facial injuries, a broken arm, 11 lost teeth, and a traumatic brain injury. Connor has been in hospitals and Neurological care facilities since the incident.

Through the Grace of God Connor has made great improvements. He has come very far in the last 2 and a half years. We are amazed at his strength, courage, and determination. Traumatic brain injuries are all unique and the healing process is lengthy.

We are running into huge long term expenses which we can not cover for parts of Connor's care. The out-of-pocket costs for Connor's care are enormous. Help covering these out-of-pocket costs would greatly benefit Connor with his recovery.

We are doing our best to help our Good Samaritan son, Connor. He is a kind and gentle person who needs your help. If you can help us with the gift of funding to help him we would be eternally grateful.

Thank you for all of your prayers, love, and support, as well.
