The Great Food52 Bake Off
Spende geschützt
This campaign has now ended, but you can still get involved! Visit The Great Food52 Bake Sale for updates on how you may support No Kid Hungry.
Join Food52 and Deb Perelman of Smitten Kitchen for the Great Food52 Bake Off on Wednesday, June 28, as we raise money for No Kid Hungry.
Did you know that 1 in 6 children in America do not get the food they need each day? No Kid Hungry's mission is to end child hunger in America once and for all.
We've invited a few of our friends (Nigella Lawson, Patti LaBelle, Curtis Stone, Padma Lakshmi, and David Burtka) to submit their favorite recipes, and we'll be baking them all up in the Food52 Test Kitchen. Join us live on Facebook for the showdown: All of those baked goods submitted by our friends will face off, and Deb Perelman will have the extremely challenging (but tasty) task of determining the winner.
What are we baking?
- Padma Lakshmi's Cardamom and Cashew Cloud Cookies
- Nigella Lawson's Dark and Sumptuous Chocolate Cake
- Patti LaBelle's Two-Fruit Almond Crumble Bar
- Curtis Stone's Cherry Amaretto Lattice Pie
- David Burtka's Chocolate and Cherry Scones
Why are we baking?
Baking isn’t just something we like to do for fun. When it’s a part of a bake-off for No Kid Hungry, it’s a way we like to give back and raise money to help end child hunger in America. Every cookie sold and every dollar donated can make a huge impact: $1 can help provide a hungry child with 10 healthy meals.
How you can get involved:
Live in the NYC area? Donate right here! If you make the highest bid, we will hand-deliver all of the baked goods from the Bake Off to your office (consider this your chance to be the hero of your office). Don't forget to note in your bid where you're located, so we may come visit you if you win!
Not in NYC? You can still donate to help the cause—Every dollar counts.
All funds raised through the end of June will be matched by Domino Sugar and C&H Sugar, so join us as we bring awareness (and cookies!) to help end child hunger. Read more about how we're supporting No Kid Hungry over on Food52.
