The Great Loop Challenge
Tax deductible
In order to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research, Mr. Scott “Red” Flowers wishes to set a world record for the fastest completion of the Great Loop, a system of waterways that is approximately 6,000 miles long. Red Flowers intends to accomplish this in 30-40 days in a 26-foot, Barker Boatworks, open cockpit boat and set a world record! It is his goal to raise $1,000,000 to donate to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Red Flowers, who will be captaining the trip, is a Stage 4 Melanoma cancer survivor and after seeing children being treated at Shands (Gainsville, FL) and Moffitt (Tampa, F) cancer centers, he knew first hand that much more needs to be done, and he’s out to do it.
The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research to eliminate childhood cancer.
Captain Red Flowers, and the staff of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation thank you for your generous support!
