The Great Postie Bike Adventure 2025
Donation protected
Thank you for your interest in The Great Postie Bike Adventure 2025 to Tasmania.
Firstly, congratulations to all riders who participated in our 2024 event, to the Victorian Alpine Country.
Everyone’s fundraising efforts made it possible for Horizon Committee to donate $100,000 split equally between Echuca Regional Health’s and Rochester and Elmore District Health Service. A significant contribution to both and an awesome effort by all our Riders.
The primary reason for this year’s event is to raise funds for Cancer Support Services in regional Victoria and Tasmania. The proceeds will be split between the WP Holman clinic in Hobart and Echuca Regional Health. Each participant is required to raise at least $2,000 in donations or sponsorship (of course, more is better) as this will be our main source of fundraising.
The Horizon Committee Inc. has been involved in fundraising for cancer support services since 2004 and raised over $2.8m, mainly through the Murray Charity Meander, Echuca-Moama’s Biggest Blokes Lunch, Postie Bike Adventures and Little Blue Towels project.
The previous Postie Bike Adventures have so for raised just over $600,000, with over $400,00 going to Echuca Regional Health, $65,000 to Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre, $50,000 to WP Holman Clinic in Tasmania, $50,000 to Rochester & Elmore District Health Service and $35,000 to Bendigo Regional Health.
The 2025 event is fully booked and will see 50 Riders and 10 Crew off to Tasmania for a full lap. Riders will gather in Geelong on Sunday the 23rd Feb, before for the overnight voyage on the all-new spirit of Tasmania. On arrival they’ll then spend five days completing a full lap of the Apple Isle, before boarding the Spirit again on Friday night after 1,250k’s on the saddle.
Thanks again for your interest in our event. Please get behind our Riders and support this worthy cause.
