The Great Skate - Skating 100km's for charity
Hi I'm Mick. A Father/Husband/Firefighter from the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne using his passion for skating to raise money and awareness for charity.
In February 2024 I will be Inline Skating (Roller Blading) 100km's in one day to raise money for Mettle Women Inc. An organisation that support women experiencing homelessness due to domestic and family violence.
Mettle Women are a national gift delivery service that equip survivors of domestic and family violence with the skills, confidence, and financial security required to secure and maintain employment and in turn, safe and stable housing.
They provide paid employment, study scholarships, training and childcare subsidies to make the transition from homelessness and crisis into the work force an empowering and supported journey.
Through my experiences with family and work I know first hand the pain and destruction that domestic and family violence can cause. That is why I am supporting this amazing charity and the important work they do.
For those of you that donate I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know that times are tough financially at the moment for most and that is why every dollar you donate means so much more than just a monetary value. It shows you are taking a stand against domestic and family violence and supporting those in our community that need it the most.
Thank you for your support of me and Mettle Women Inc.
Much appreciation and love.
Mick
