The Green Giant of Zanzuki

The Green Giant of Zanzuki is a Senior Thesis Film written and directed by Alex Greenberg. This 5 minute short will be completely created in the vein of old-school Toho Kaiju films such as Godzilla, Mothra, Ghidorah and the likes. This means it will be shot entirely on 16mm film, reel to reel sound, a to-scale model city of Tokyo that our monster can trample, a monster costume and zero CGI.
The money that we hope to raise will be used entirely on the production of the film. Purchasing and processing the film is around $2,500, building the monster suit is around $600, reel to reel sound tapes and processing is around $400, the scale city is around $3,000. For a student film, this is very ambitious. but can't be produced any other way.
The film will begin shooting on February 13th and will continue on until February 23rd. If I can raise this money by February 10 or 13th, that would be such a massive help.
This movie means the world to me, and Toho Kaiju films have been taking over my brain since I was a small child. I think this can be something amazing and unique, something most student film-makers haven't attempted in years. I want to produce something that can spark the exact feelings you get when watching Godzilla walk through power lines, when Mothra flaps its gigantic wings and starts a cyclone, when you meet Mechagodzilla for the first time.
Anyone that donates will get credited as a producer, and if you donate $10 or more, I'll send you a flash drive or DVD or VHS copy of the film.
If anyone has props or objects that they would like to donate, email me at [email redacted]
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
