The Guajardo Family - for Nina

Hello, I am fundraising to help the Guajardo Family for Nina's medical expenses.

The pathology reports revealed that Nina has a rare cancer that was hidden in the cervix and undetected.

....her cancer has been reclassified as stage 4 ovarian cancer.

She will start chemo on Friday, October 13th.

From Nina: "Your prayers are what I am riding on; They are what will pull me over the mountain I am asked to climb and give me the strength I will need to continue to stand tall. I trust and have full faith in Him alone".

October 6th update from Heidi Vo:

"Nina met with doctors on 9/28 for her post op appointment. She was told that she has stage 3 ovarian cancer & that she would have to undergo 6 cycles of chemo treatment (1 cycle every 3 weeks), which would be about 4 1/2 months. However, she met with doctors on 10/4 to go over her pathology reports. The Guajardo's were given even more shocking news at this appointment. The pathology reports revealed that Nina has a rare cancer, that was hidden in the cervix and undetected through the Pap smear. Devastatingly enough, her cancer was reclassified as stage 4 cervical cancer. She will start chemo on Friday, October 13th. At this time please focus on prayers for the excruciating pain she is having in her abdomen, where the cancer was. Not the surgery site, but where the cancer use to be and was removed. She gets several episodes of this mind blowing pain a day. When I last spoke with her on the phone (10/3), she had to put me on mute several times, as the pain she was experiencing was so unbearable. Please pray for her husband, the kids, and the mountain they will start to climb on Friday, the 13th.

Initial post from a friend, Heidi Vo:

"Nina, (Sam & Dominic (5th & 12th)Guajardo's mom, started experiencing excruciating pain in her stomach mid July. Early August, she was in so much pain she ended up in the ER. She was told she had a large pelvic mass and needed to make an appointment with a specialist. They scheduled surgery on 9/11 to remove the mass. They took just about everything, including her appendix. Before leaving the hospital ( 9/15 ) she was told she has ovarian cancer. She meets with the doctor next week to find out what stage, treatment plans, etc. Nina will be recovering with restrictions from the surgery for the next 6 weeks.

Let's bless the Guajardo family so that they can focus on her care and upcoming treatment for her cancer. The family will be so appreciative of this gift. Thank you in advance for any and all donations. Prayers are also greatly appreciated and much needed."
