The Haptonstall Family

Hi, my name is Jodi Robertson and I am fundraising for the Haptonstall Family. Their son Nolan (8 years old) was in a very bad accident yesterday while hiking on the Oregon Coast with family friends. The trail they were hiking on became very steep and narrow, and Nolan slipped and fell down the embankment. Rescue teams were called but due to the extreme conditions of the terrain, the US Coast Guard had to assist. After nearly three hours, the Ropes team was able to bring Nolan up, where he was life-flighted to Gold Beach by the Coast Guard. Upon arrival at the hospital, they realized that while Nolan was very lucky to be alive, he sustained a major head injury. Nolan was again life-flighted to OHSU, where he had surgery this morning to fix his skull fracture. He has been removed from sedation and is currently waking up, which are all good signs, but he has a long road ahead of him for recovery.

Nolan's family is by his side up in Portland, exactly where they should be. As we all know, life is expensive, but this situation will cause Mike and Alyssa to both be out of work for an unknown amount of time. Along with the added expense of being out of town, the family will also be facing medical bills they were not expecting. This family is always the first to step up to offer help to others, no matter the circumstances. Please if you are able, donate.
