Jessica and Tyler Harrison moved their family to Paradise, CA to create a better life for their children 18 years ago. In those years, Paradise became their home, where their kids grew up, graduated high school, landed their first jobs and created family memories. On Thursday, November 8th, they barely escaped to safety and everything they worked for was lost. On Saturday, November 10th, they found out their house did not make it. The feeling of the small town, close-knit community had been torn apart in less than 24 hours, with no town left to go back to.
Fleeing the fires within minutes, with one suitcase for the family, Jessica, Tyler Jr, and Haley Harrison are now in El Cajon, where they have been greeted with support and overwhelming love in order for them to get through this tough time. Tyler stayed in Chico, CA to work; however, living in a trailer is not the ideal situation without his family by his side. If you know Tyler and Jessica, I can’t remember a time where they were apart for more than a few days.
The Harrison’s lost their beloved home, family memorabilia, sentimental items…along with their town, which they hold near and dear in their heart.
In my 30 years of friendship with Jessica, I never imagined I would be writing a GoFundMe Page in order to help her family…but sadly here I am, asking all of you for anything you can give to the most amazing family that has ever stepped into my life! Jessica is the queen of caring and an incredibly STRONG mom that I admire every day, who is trying her best to hold it together for her family. This is OUR family, and OUR family needs our help. Some items cannot be replaced, though any donation may help them on rebuilding their lives and getting through these rough times.
