The Hatch Family Memorial Support Fund
Donation protected
Hi All,
I’m Lisa Tansey - sister to Heather Hatch (2nd grade teacher extraordinaire in District MSAD17 for 25 years), an auntie to Matthew (brilliant engineer-to-be), and sister-in-law to Jim Hatch, an amazing, smart, kind, wonderful man who was my brother.
Jim unexpectedly passed away on May 18th due to complications suffered after surgery, in combination with existing critical health issues. While he had experienced a number of medical crises over the past several years, we did not anticipate losing him so suddenly.
Jim filled so many roles in the lives of all of us - husband, father, son, brother, nephew, friend, mentor, Scout Master, IT tech expert, leader, gaming wizard, co-conspirator, confidante, and more. He was a steady, calm, force; a thoughtful analyzer; a truly unique soul. There is no replacing him - there is only the appreciation of the time we all got to share while he was with us.
But, the struggle is now of a different kind. The suddenness of his passing, the massive medical bills, loss of income, funeral costs, desire to provide Matthew with an education and foundation for transitioning from teenager to adult - they are overwhelming.
There are many of us who want to help support Heather and Matthew, and I felt that creating a Go Fund Me was the best way for us to be able to come together in one place, in order to pool resources.
I set a lofty goal, because that is truly what’s needed. But, any donation of any size is a beautiful gesture and greatly appreciated.
Thank you all on behalf of the Hatch family ❤️
