‘Ikai ha to’a ‘e tu’u tokotaha – No warrior stands alone.
One of our most treasured PG families has experienced a loss beyond measure and could use our support. Their beloved son and brother, Ofa passed away on his 30th birthday. What should have been a day of celebrating has turned into heartbreak.
The Hautau family have always been tremendously supportive of our Pacific Grove community through sports, community service, and church and we now have the opportunity to give back that love by supporting them through this unimaginable loss.
All of the kids live out of state, as well as many many family members living out of the country.
Family is so important to the Hautau’s and the Tongan culture and being able to have their family here together to support and celebrate Ofa would mean everything to them. And to not have to worry about expenses while mourning and celebrating their son and brother would elevate a tremendous weight.
Your financial support will allow them to be together and honor their son and brother without stress.
Ofa was (and will always be) a mentor to so many of our kids that he coached in football.
Taiana, Joe, Mele, Lala, Oliva, Lala, and Okilani gave our community one of our greatest gifts when they shared Ofa with us. The least we can do is provide them the opportunity to mourn their loss without the stress of obligations.
