The Haven Hub Lads Shed

The Haven Hub have set up a young mens shed called the Lads Shed in Limerick. The idea is based on providing peer support for young men aged 18-30 through wellness courses, sport and activities. The main aim is to reduce the mental health difficulties and suicide rate for young men in a compassionate environment. We aim to include activities that is fun, encourages interaction and focused on wellness while avoiding substances and other unhealthy coping strategies that in the longer term may worsen difficulties. Activities include sport, wellness courses, walking groups, cinema trips and awareness talks. Any funds raised will be directly spent on costs associated with these activities
