The Herve Filion Legacy Fund
Donation protected
Our dad, Herve Filion, crossed the finish line like the
champion he was and became our angel on
June 22, 2017. He was a proud father of 6 children and a grandfather to 10 beautiful grandkids. Herve Filion gave his life to the sport of harness racing. His work ethic and double header schedules were known to all within the sport. Through the years, he accomplished milestones that are etched in record books.
If you knew our dad, you would know and understand the peaks and valleys he had traveled through in his lifetime. Throughout his career, he received numerous requests from racetracks from around the world and made appearances at his own expense. He always said he felt he owed it to the industry that had given so much to him and his family. He never asked for help but always was willing to help and give to so many.
Now we would like to send him off like a true champion should be. We want to give his fans in the USA the opportunity to pay their respects as well as his family in Canada. By doing so, this requires two services to take place in two different countries.
Any funds raised will help ensure we honor my dad's wishes. Any remaining funds will be donated to the Harness Racing Hall of Fame Musuem in Goshen
New York on my father's behalf.
