The Historical Fly Arts Center and “Ole Red”
Tax deductible
We are the Executive Board of Directors of the “Fly” Theatre and Bedford County Arts Council in beautiful Shelbyville, TN. The Fly is an historical building dating back to 1927. Mr Joel Orval Fly owned and operated the Fly building as a shirt manufacturing department and employed workers throughout the Great Depression. The Fly is a non-profit organization that has a museum, art gallery and theatre and all the operations are managed by volunteers. We are hosting this fundraiser to restore the historical building that is in dire need for major renovation. The iconic Fly manufacturing truck (seen in picture) has been neglected and needs to come back to life! Please help us raise money to fix our “historical “Ole Red” Fly Manufacturing” Truck and also help us with our building renovations as a means to save the image of this wonderful part of Bedford County, Tn history.
