The Hodge's Fight Against Glioblastoma

Hi, My name is Meg, and I am helping to raise money for David and Mary Hodges. I met Mary earlier this year and was instantly drawn to her bright, radiant spirit. She has a joy that does not go unnoticed, and her love for others is inspiring.

David Hodges is a 4-year survivor of an aggressive brain tumor called a glioblastoma. He fought a very tough battle against this cancer and WON, but the Hodge's family just found out it has reared it's ugly head again.

Surgery is planned for November 21st. He is going to have gamma tiles placed around the tumor and a dye during the surgery to light up active cancer cells. The surgery will require multiple surgeons to access the delicate structures in his brain. After surgery he is needing to sleep in a recliner for 6 weeks, so the Hodge's family just purchased a new recliner and reclining love seat so that he can be comfortable during recovery. Mary had a job at a local tea shop (where I met her actually!) but has had to quit her job so that she can take care of her kids and be a caregiver to David.

They have three children - Lilly (12 years old), Levi (8..almost 9!), and Harry (6 years old). As humble as they are, they would not admit it or want to ask for help, but I know they are praying that God will provide for their medical bills, groceries, and Christmas gifts for the kids.
