The Hokanson’s Monthly Bills

Hi all,

On February 25th, my dad, who is my ROCK, had a stroke. He was admitted to Region’s Hospital for roughly 5 days and was able to return home for the rest of the week before having to go back for testing. 2 days later, on March 3rd, we were sitting on the couch and out of nowhere he had another near fatal stroke that had progressed into a seizure & heart failure. Since then, I have been at Region’s with him doing whatever I can to support him. Due to the stroke, his brain is extremely altered to the point where he can’t make cognitive decisions. He is very slowly going down the road to recovery but will likely be in rehabilitation and therapy at the hospital for a few months.

Him and I live together, and I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes to raise some money to help with bills while he is in the hospital, rehab, etc. I’ve never been one to ask for help, but I need it now more than ever. Every little bit helps and will all go towards covering monthly bills.
