The Huck Fund

Story

HUCK NEEDS HELP! Our beloved Dave Huckleberry was in an accident on August 17, 2020.... and now it's time to help him out!  Dave was riding his bicycle home from work, and was in a terrible bike wreck.  Flying over the handlebars, he broke his nose, had lacerations resulting in 15 stitches, and suffered a severe spinal cord injury.  After having spinal surgery the next day, his long road to recovery began.  With minimal feeling below the waist, Huck has transitioned out of ICU to Cardinal Hill, where he will undergo extensive rehabilitation.  With time, hard work, and a little bit of luck, he hopes to be able to walk again and return to the job he loves.  The expenses associated with his recovery, as you can imagine, are extensive.  Not only that, being unable to work and earn an income presents a problem with meeting other obligations for monthly bills, payments, etc.  There is also no indication how long the recovery process will take, or what the long term outlook is quite yet.  In addition to what his current expenses are, there will be many more that are unexpected, such as moving to a home with no stairs, transportation, mobility equipment, and whatever else may arise. If you are able, no matter how large or small, please consider making a contribution.  Dave is one of those guys we all know and love.... the kind of guy you call when the chips are down and you need help.  Always a loyal friend, a listening ear, and the guy that will drop whatever he is doing to help out another.  Thanks for donating, and keep Huck, his family, and his care team in your prayers!
