The Humanitarian Crisis in Congo will not go UNHEARD

My father, Elvis Katoto, a Congolese filmmaker and is back in Goma with charity Focus Congo to create a series of documentaries showing the devastating reality of the displaced Congolese people.

Since 1996, there has been more than 6 million people killed and more than 7 million people have been displaced with little to no aid.

Recently there were 10 bombs dropped in Mugunga camp near Goma by M23 on 3rd May 2024, which resulted in over 40 people dead and many injured. One of areas that were targeted was a displacement camp.

This fundraiser has two aims:

To continue to support the frontline efforts of Focus Congo which includes providing safer emergency shelters, medical care and food
To share the voices of the Congolese people who have and are suffering!
