The Hurley Family need our help

These past 2 years have been a hard time for everyone, with lockdowns and business restrictions all over the country to varying degrees.

Unfortunately, just as we thought things would start to get better, Renee and Don have encountered a shattering blow with their family home being significantly damaged by fire.

While we are all so thankful there were no lives lost, it has been total devastation for Renee, Don and their 2 kids, Kai and Tiana, and grandmother Victoria, who have all been sadly displaced from their home, business and routines.

Adding another layer of loss to this, Renee's home was the heart of her business 'Cakes by Renee', an integral part of your weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations.

Much to Renee and Don’s shock, insurers have confirmed the policy did not include contents coverage, therefore everything which has been lost in the fire will not be covered.

This is not just devastating from a personal stand point, but also from a business position.

While Renee is busy trying to complete existing orders with limited supplies for her clients, we are trying to help in any way we can so they can move into a new home as soon as possible and begin the process of starting again.

Thanks to the wonderful people in our estate, a rental has been found in the local area close to their family home, however they will need to come up with $5,000 for bond and the first 2 weeks rent.

On top of this, they will need to start again on their journey from making their rental a home, with all our comforts that we take for granted. This includes household items, business supplies, clothing and so much more.

With that in mind, our family have decided to start this gofundme in the hopes we can somehow ease some pressure of having to start again. These funds will be used toward the money required for the rental property while their home is being repaired over the next 12 months, and of course, to replace what has been lost, if they can.
