The Huynh Family Medical and Travel Expenses

Vincent Huynh is a fourth-year student at University of South Florida’s Taneja College of Pharmacy. Anyone who knows him will describe him as fiercely loyal and always dependable. He is kind to everyone he meets and often prioritizes his family and friends over himself. I have been beyond fortunate to have a friend like him throughout the years. As one of Vincent’s numerous friends, we want to support the Huynh family through this unimaginable life event.

In June 2022, Vincent began experiencing frequent migraines and trouble sleeping during his first clinical rotation for his fourth year of pharmacy school. Over the next few weeks, his symptoms worsened, and his family flew to Florida from California to visit. They went to a doctor to discuss these new symptoms, only to learn that Vincent’s symptoms were more than just stress. The doctors discovered a large tumor had grown in Vincent’s brain and he was immediately scheduled for surgery to remove as much of it as possible. After surgery, the tumor was identified as an aggressive form of brain cancer called grade 4 anaplastic astrocytoma, also known as glioblastoma.

For the past several weeks, Vincent has been in the hospital in Tampa, Florida. While Vincent is recovering from brain surgery and preparing for the upcoming medical treatment, his family has been making arrangements to stay in Florida to be with him. Despite their desire to be in Florida with Vincent to support him in his fight, financial strain has prevented Vincent’s mother, father, sister, and extended family from all being able to take time off of work to make the trip from California.

Vincent is blessed with an amazing family and support system. This fundraiser has been created to provide financial support to his family so that they can take additional time off of work and travel to Tampa. All donations to this page will be given directly to Vincent’s parents.

While Vincent continues his fight against cancer, we are asking anyone who reads this to support him. Whether it be a kind word or thought, a donation to this page, or helping spread the word.
