The Huynh Family's Double Stage 3 Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Hey friends, I hope this post finds you well. I am sharing this on behalf of my friends, the Huynh family, who are currently facing some tremendous challenges. In light of these challenges, it has put a significant strain on their finances.

Here is their story:

Their incredible journey started when their twins were born prematurely at just 25 weeks, weighing only 1 pound each. After spending 3.5 months in the NICU, they finally got to bring their babies home on February 2, 2022.

Unfortunately, that happiness was short-lived. After one year, they suspected something was wrong with Jaxson’s (one of the twin's) stomach area as it was enlarged and hard.

Jaxson was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma liver cancer, stage 3, and underwent treatments at Stanford Children's Hospital for the past 5 months.

Currently, Jaxson is undergoing chemo three times per month, and his surgery date is quickly approaching. Doctors will be removing the tumor and 80% of his liver on October 2.

Adding to their difficulties, Donna, Jaxson's mom, received shocking news about her health as well. She discovered lumps in her breast in February of this year. Recent tests revealed that it is metastatic breast cancer, stage 3. Donna is set to begin chemo and radiation treatments on October 10, followed by surgery to remove the tumor.

The recovery process for both Jaxson and Donna will be a long, ongoing process, with lots of uncertainty - but the Huynh family are strong, positive and prayerful.

As you can imagine, it has been extremely challenging, as they rely primarily on their 82-year-old mother to care for their other children, Ace and Kingston, while Ken and Donna take turns spending nights at the hospital with Jaxson for treatment. On top of that, they will now need to figure out how to navigate all this when Donna starts treatment.

I kindly ask for any donations that you can contribute to support the Huynh family.

The funds will be used for essential expenses, such as gas, food, medical bills, and babysitters for their other children. Your generosity will make a big impact in helping them get through this difficult season.

Let's show our love and support ❤️
