The Island Short Film
Donation protected
Extension 2 Students from the Australian Acting Academy are asking for your support so that they can go into their Short Film THE ISLAND - with costumes and set that will lift their film to the next level.
The Island - is a 15 min short that all 15 students feature in. They have been developing the concept for 6 months and have seen it take on 5 different versions, until this final version.
They will be shooting the film with in-kind of $3000 and $4000 cash from the Australian Acting Academy, they only need $2500 to complete their set build, costumes and cover some of the post-production.
The 3-day shoot will be on November 8,9, 10 and raising the $2500 will mean they can go into it, concentrating on the thing that means the most to them. Telling the story.
The film industry in Queensland is a growing concern, and having the opportunity to be on a set that is as close to professional as possible will give these dedicated students the opportunity to gain experience that money can't buy.
Your support be it $10 to $2500 will mean so much to these teens, and they have come up with a number of rewards that money can't buy to say thanks, including a limited number of the poster, an original piece of art created by one of the actors MJ Smith.
AWESOME REWARDS MONEY CAN ONLY BUY HERE.
$10 You will get a shout out on the Acting Academy Instagram page, and be sent a link of the completed film.
$50 You will receive an A3 colour poster signed by the artist and cast ( 40 available)
$100. You will receive a limited edition t-shirt with the poster on it. (20 available) plus a thank you in the credit. For you or your business.
$250. A video shout out, that is personal to you from the cast, thanking you for your support. (5 Available)
$500. Set visit and share a meal with the cast, and get a photo with some of the cast (3 available)
$2500 (1 Available) - You can have an executive producer credit in the credits complete with your name and or logo.
It can be tough to be a creative teen in Queensland, so your support will mean more to them the opportunity to complete this film, it will reassure them that they are valued and have a place in society.
