The Jacob Mulligan Charity

Hi my name is Eilidh Stewart and I have decided to do the Inverness Half Marathon on the 12th of March. The charity I would like to raise money for is The Jacob Mulligan Charity -

Jacob Mulligan Charity was set up in memory of Jacob Kitty Mulligan son of Natasha & Jordan.

Jacob was one of the 7 babies that are stillborn every day in the UK.

When you are planning for your baby's arrival the last thing you think about is to prepare for a funeral, emotionally and financially. Currently, the UK government provides a basic funeral but will not include a headstone. Funeral providers also have a larger markup on child and baby headstones, creating a more difficult choice for grieving mothers and fathers.

The Jacob Mulligan Charity has been set up to ensure that parents of stillborn babies are provided with the choice of having a headstone. The ability to choose how they want to grieve.

No parent should bury their child, the least we can do is help them honour and grieve their baby how they would like to without the financial burden.
