The JCCS & the World Transplant Games
Donation protected
Louise is a local Dentist and mum to Amelia. She works with the Jersey Critical Care Survivors Charity as a Trustee and a support group ambassador where she helps post-intensive care patients through shared experience. In 2018 Louise found herself in need of emergency medical treatment in London after the delivery of her daughter, due to a rare pregnancy condition, which resulted in a full liver transplant a few days later.
Now, with a new liver and vigour for life, Louise is an active ambassador of the JCCS and helps others in need of advice on the long road to recovery.
Louise's own recovery story started with the Jersey Tri Club's Tri-a-Tri event in June 2019, one year after her transplant. She went on to compete at the British Transplant Games in 2022 winning two gold and two silver medals in swimming.
Now she is off to the World Transplant Games to represent Great Britain in April 2023! Please help Louise raise funds for the Jersey Critical Survivors Charity which has helped her get back on her feet post-transplant and others who will need their services in the future.
*a portion of the funds raised will be used for the entry costs for the event. All other funds will go to the JCCS.
