On Friday the 6th Arimis went into the emergency room because he had thought his pacemaker had gone off and he was having a lot of trouble breathing. A week prior he had passed out on his bedroom floor due to being really dizzy, the next day his defibrillator shocked him. So, he just took it easy for a few days hoping it would go away but to his dismay he still did not feel good. Finally, he went to the Urgent Care, and he was told to get ahold of his heart Doctor. The next day he was shocked again while sleeping, that's when they knew something was really wrong and went to St Rita's hospital. On Monday the 10th Armis had the scare of his life when the defibrillator went off but this time it just kept going off not once not twice but 8 times in the span of an hour. After the care team could get him somewhat stable he was shocked again and this time he coded and stopped breathing for 6 seconds after being resuscitated, he was then taken to the ICU for better observation. After being in the ICU they still could not get his heart to beat normally. A specialized care team later came in and Armis was told he needed a heart ablation which can not be conducted at that hospital. He then was transferred by ambulance two hours away to the OSU Ross Heart medical center in Columbus. After being in Columbus Arimiss' heart was still not beating at a sinus rhythm and his levels were still not stable. The Doctors do not believe that his heart is strong enough for the operation yet. They would also like him to be put on the heart transplant list. After a long hard week on Wednesday he finally began to show improvement. He was then given medication in hopes to help the rhythm of his heart. Slowly his blood sugar became normal and he was able to be taken off the IV drip. With lots of medication changes and lots of hardships he finally began to feel better. Arimis is not out of the woods yet, he will have a long journey to recovery and getting back to his everyday life.

If you do not know the Jeffers family and would like to know a little bit more. Armis has a full house with four children, two dogs, four bunnies and his amazing wife Shelli. Arimis and Shelli have been off work due to this situation, they have also been away from their children. With growing bills and four growing children, money is very tight.

So if you could give anything, any little amount will help. It will be greatly appreciated, If you cannot donate, we just ask you to do something good. It could make a huge difference in someone's day. Thank you!
