The Jim Moorman Cancer Fund

We are raising money for an old MHS friend and her husband and two kids, who have been faced with many hardships as of late.

Jim and Margie Moorman both grew up in the area. Jim, Wall Township and Margie, Belmar. Jim, a Wall HS 85 graduate and Margie White Moorman a Manasquan HS 87 Graduate. They’ve been married 25 years with two children daughter Amanda and son Jimmy and reside in Brick. Jim has worked for Wall Public Works for the last thirty years and Margie worked for Wall Methodist Church as a Directors Assistant for the child care and Office Administrator for the church, but due to covid and the school permanently closing, Margie has been out of work.

Recently, Jim was diagnosed with an aggressive form of mouth cancer called Papillary Squamous Cell Carcinoma. He will go through extensive mouth surgeries, a jaw resection along with receiving chemo and radiation treatment. It will be at the very least, six months of no work and downtime.
