The Jim Ramey Scholarship

In November of 2020 the family, friends and outdoor industry lost Jim Ramey.

Jim's passing was unexpected and especially difficult for his wife Karyn and daughter Lauryn as well as everyone that knew him. In addition to being kind and caring Jim had a true love of the outdoors: on the water, snow or many trails his adventures took him to being outside was always on the top of the list.

 

With Trade Shows "not-happening" in the Outdoor & Ski biz and with the general 'craziness' of retail last year we, as an industry, did not have an opportunity to celebrate Jim's life and contributions to the various categories he participated in.

 

Lauryn will be graduating high-school this coming Spring of 2022 so it's the perfect time to keep Jim's positive legacy going strong. Lauryn will most-likely be attending the University of Oregon in the fall with focus on Architecture and Interior Design.

 

Our goal is to provide some financial assistance, on Jim's behalf, as a reminder of his legacy.
