The Joe Bautista Memorial Fund

Maywood Tennis Club's Tennis Pro Joe Bautista was a leader and driving force of the ten-and-under tennis programs for 17 years. His primary goal was to create a fun environment for children to learn and grow as tennis players, and his teaching methods were proven successful. It was evident that Joe's love for the sport resonated and quickly transferred to his students. Many players who began in red ball at an early age under Joe's instruction continued playing for years and ultimately became Junior Pros in the program. Joe's inspiration, spirit and teaching methods will forever remain a part of Maywood Tennis Club programs.

Joe lost his battle with cancer on June 16, 2022. We are hosting the first annual ten-and-under tournament on August 20, 2022, to honor Joe's memory. Any donations made will benefit junior tennis programs as per Joe's wishes.
