The Joe Pascarell Memorial Chess Table
Donation protected
Joe Pascarell may have left us in his physical form this past January 2022, but he lovingly left behind countless magical memories as well as a catalog of music we can still listen to and be comforted by for the rest of our lives. Whether Joe was your family, friend, or just the guy on stage playing some amazing guitar, we invite you to participate in the raising of funds for a permanent memorial in his honor.
Outside of the world of music, one of Joe’s greatest passions was chess. He had an extensive library of books, he studied, went to chess clubs, and occasionally participated in chess tournaments. He even drew one of the greatest chess players in the world, Judit Polgar, in a chess simultaneous match.
The village of Nyack has already approved the placing of a permanent ‘Washington Square Park’ style chess table somewhere in Nyack with a dedicated insignia. I can already imagine kids climbing on it with their chess boards, the occasional flower left at its’ side, and just a place where friends, family, and fans alike could meet up and tell their stories of one of the greatest musicians they ever knew.
We’re not asking a lot, but even the smallest contribution can mark your participation in what will be a beautiful and worthy memorial for our friend Joe.
Thank you so much for reading, and if you haven’t already, please visit www.joepascarell.com to learn more about Joe and his beautiful music.
Warmly with Love,
Michael A Frank
