Hi, I'm Joseph Lagman and I'm creating this fundraiser for my beloved father, Lance Corporal Joevanoni Rebollido Lagman. Born in Macabae, Pampanga The Philippines, to Glorina Rebollido and Raymundo Lagman.. As an adolescent, in the midst of high school, he enlisted in the marine corps. Completed basic training and graduated as a diesel mechanic. 2 years in, he was discharged (Not dishonorably, but not honorably discharged) from the marines for stepping off the premises of the Pendleton South Marine Corps Base Campus to attend the birth of his firstborn son, Joseph Lagman. Shortly after the birth of his first son, he became a machine operator for Wrigley's gum factory in Santa Cruz, California. In the middle of his 10-year stint as a machine operator, his second-born son Johnny Lagman was born. After the Wrigley's gum factory relocated out of state, Joevanoni and his family relocated out of Salinas, California and moved to Milpitas, California in the bay area with his mother, father, 2 younger brothers, and their 2 daughters and 2 sons. to support his family as well as help contribute to his intermediate family he worked as a machine operator for Glassforms Inc. After 2 and a half years he made the sudden career change to a technician for telecommunications and excelled, working his way up to the implementation for telecommunication. Everything was going great until the fall of dot coms along with Enron Inc. He recovered by moving to Sacramento, California with his family and moved into a house alongside his wifes father, stepmother, and 3 younger step-brothers. Shortly after the move, he became a tow truck/ service truck driver. 3 years into being a tow truck driver he moved his family into their apartment in North Highlands. Through his son's friends, he met Joel Buendia, who fell on hard times and moved in with him and his family. Over the time he spent caring for Joel, he ultimately became Joevanoni's third son he loved dearly. 3 years later, during a service call, Joevanoni stopped at home because he wasn't feeling well, he blacked out and was found in the bathroom around vomited blood. rushed to the ER he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and blacked out due to dehydration. After that, it opened a long battle with disability and numerous health issues. Over time his health may have declined, but his love for his family and strength to handle any struggle never ceased to exist. Joevanoni was a fighter like his mother and stayed fighting till his last breath.
On Christmas Morning, the Lord called home our beloved Joevanoni Lagman. Joevanoni was loved and adored by all of those that knew him. He carried a light within him that lit up every single room he stepped in. His departure from this life has left a hole too big for words to fill in the hearts of his wife, Edna Lagman, and their three sons, Joseph Lagman, Johnny Lagman and Joel Buendia. Joevanoni was known for always wanting to help those in need no matter the cost at hand. He was an inspirational father, devoted husband, beloved friend, confidant, and the kindest and most loving person to anyone he encountered. Joevanoni gave much of his time here on Earth to not only his family but his community as well. If able, we would like you to bless the Lagman family by lifting the weight of any upcoming financial costs because of this unexpected and unfortunate event. If unable to give, please leave some kind words and shared memories with Heaven’s newest angel and soldier, Joevanoni Lagman.
