The John Moore “You’ve Got a Friend” Fund

Hi. We are John’s friends from the Princeton Triangle Club. John shared the news of his his recent Acute Myeloid Leukemia diagnosis (see CaringBridge )when many of his friends were together at Reunions.

 

Everyone loves John, so the initial reaction was “How can we help?” The immediate idea was to find a barn and put on a show, but all the Actors Equity rules, rehearsal space issues, and legal stuff got in the way, as well as the tricky issue of who would have top billing…

 

So we are setting up this fund for all John’s friends to help care for him, as he has cared for so many of us.

 

In a perfect world, we would all be taking turns bringing him food, keeping him company, and running errands. But considering that John has friends scattered across the country - and around the world - we hope this fund will allow us all to help virtually through our contributions here.

 

Please contribute whatever you’d like here and also follow his caringbridge site for updates and other ways to help.

 

We are working closely with John, his husband Chip, and John's  family on this and they will be able to use this money for whatever the most pressing needs are.

 

Keep those emails, cards, and calls coming! John loves them all and is grateful for everyone’s friendship, which will undoubtedly help him get through the months ahead.
