The Journey Of Felix Rodriguez
Donation protected
Sibling bonds are inseparable. Truly bonded from birth.
It breaks our family’s heart to have to say our goodbyes to my big brother Felix Rodriguez. Four years and 1 day after the death of his baby brother, Javier Rodriguez, the two decided it was time to reunite.
Familial Cardiomyopathy is a genetic heart disease that took the lives of both of my big brothers Javi and Felix, and remain a factor in our daily lives as well.
We were always a family to think beyond science, and trust in God.
Felix’s disease was discovered in adolescence, which led to the entire family to be genetically tested and in 2010 Felix found himself fighting for his life, and on the heart transplant list. In 2011, Javier received his 1st transplant & in 2012 my mother Ana also endured a heart transplant.
Felix’s transplant was a success and in his own words all he wanted to do was “Impress the family that gave him his heart”
He was an amazing, caring, and active father from the moment he knew he created life.
He was a genuine soul overall, & to know my brother was to love him , now His two boys Xavier and Armani are the legacy he leaves behind.
We ask those who loved my brother, who shared a memory with him or my family, if possible to help ease the financial pain of another funeral/burial. My mother, Ana, and my father, Gato, are here again burying their son, and all proceeds will go directly to them to handle any and all matters.
My family and I have endured another life changing heart break, and any support very is much appreciated. Thank you
