Hi, My name is Diamond and I am fundraising for support on the journey to starting my e-commerce business.
I have been a professional dancer since I was three-years-old, and I attended an elementary, middle, and high school of the arts. In 2012 at age 18-years-old I was shot nine times, leaving me with a Spinal Cord Injury and paralyzed from the waist down.
Since becoming confined to a wheelchair it has been one of my passions to support the disabled community in any way I can. I aspire for my small business to provide products, services, and resources for disabled individuals to make their lives easier as wheelchair users.
For the last nine years, I have been working hard to prove to myself and the world that I can still live a fruitful life using a wheelchair. It hasn't been easy, but with my family and friends' support, I was able to graduate with my bachelor's degree, teach myself how to live 100% independently, and never give up on myself. Now, I am a Speech Therapist for pediatrics giving back to others, despite my disability and the many complications of living with a spinal cord injury.
When I was first injured I felt alone and lost and I lacked resources to help me adjust to my new lifestyle. Over the years I have noticed that many disabled individuals feel isolated and alone in their experiences, which is heartbreaking.
I want my business to provide support for disabled individuals and even their loved ones. It is important to me to provide products for the disabled community, and offer opportunities for them to be seen and heard by the general public.
With your help the funds raised will help me turn my dreams into reality, providing a dedicated business for the disabled community.
