The Julian Malcolm Hazen-Babchuk Memorial
August 22nd, 2021 is the day heaven gained a true angel. Only 21 years old, Julian was a loving son, brother and friend. Julian was truly a bright light and touched the lives of everyone he met. His energy was infectious and unmatched. He never failed to make others smile with his goofiness and sense of humour. He was a beautiful soul who truly deserved to live the best life. Tragically, Julian dealt with demons which eventually took him away from us. Though he was suffering, he was not the type of person to project those emotions onto others. Rather he was always a kind, caring and loving person who wanted the best for everyone. Julian would want us to share his story in hopes it would help others who are also dealing with those same demons.
We would like to raise $22,000 in honour of Julian. The funds will be spilt accordingly:
$16,000 towards The Hazen-Babchuk family, they will decide what charities to donate the funds.
$6,000 towards a memorial bench
Any extra donations towards a memorial event
August 31st 2021, is International Overdose Awareness Day and we would like to raise $16,000 to a charity of the family’s choice. This is all part of the fight of another huge number which is Saskatchewan’s overdose crisis. Saskatchewan’s addiction crisis is out of control and is getting worse each year.
Our goal is to help raise awareness on mental health and addiction, prevent deaths similar to Julian’s and to carry on Julian’s legacy.
Julian, we love and miss you so much. This one's for you.
- If anyone wants to help out or do so by joining our team, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We want all the help we can get.
Thank you.
