Dear all,

I'm Maria Boldor,

a Romanian professional athlete, bronze medalist at the World Fencing Championships 2022, Medalist of the European Championships for Cadets (silver medal), Juniors (bronze medal) and U23s (silver medal).

I am raising funds to seek justice against the physical, mental, verbal, sexual, (etc). abuses that I have endured over the years in the Romanian National Fencing Team, by technical staff members and for future generations.

The head coach of the National Women's foil team (also the federal coach of the Romanian Fencing Federation) threatened me with death in front of the President of the Federation and nobody took any action.

They had been trying to exclude me from fencing because I demanded my right to express myself freely and did not accept advances from other national team staff members.

After the medal at the 2022 World Championships, the coach "promised" to "destroy" me.

My chances of qualifying for the Olympics in Paris were very high. Still, unfortunately, this goal was not possible:

Following a wrong intervention on my (healthy) knee, which the team's doctor performed at the request of the technical staff, my ligaments were torn during a World Cup, and the National Anti-Doping Agency was sent to take my urine and blood samples.
Just before the pre-Olympic season, my ligaments were torn during the competition, and the disaster of a banned substance being found in my body, following the intervention of the doctor -at the coach's request- happened.

Since the beginning of 2023, I have been fighting to prove my innocence, and all those who -politically- wanted to exclude me from the sports, should pay for it.

The raised money will be used to pay the fees, to make justice in my case, and to fight against all abuses of power and injustice in Romanian fencing. The members of the national staff who continuously tried to give me "abusive" substances in training camps, to make sexual proposals to me, who threatened to kill me and poisoned me with a substance I've never heard of, to bear the consequences.

I reassure you that I will provide transparency in how the funds are spent and disbursed.

Every support, to bring the Truth in my case and to protect the future generation from this big political injustice, is greatly appreciated and deeply acknowledged.
