"The Kearns" is a psychological thriller which follows the tumultuous journey of an influencer family striving for fame. Exploring ethical dilemmas surrounding the exploitation and safeguarding of children, the relentless pursuit of social media metrics, and the suffocating pressure to maintain the illusion of perfection, the film delves headfirst into the complexities of modern-day fame and the insatiable hunger it can induce. "The Kearns" uncovers the dark underbelly of social media culture, and how it has the potential to tear families apart.
Following the success of "Nosebleeds," MEISHU returns with their second film, guided always by the company’s motto: "Make Art, Tell Stories." With a keen eye for relatable and timely narratives, MEISHU is committed to shedding light on the complexities of modern life.
While "Nosebleeds" was a no budget endeavour, we understand as a company that supporting artists remains vital to the future of our industry. Thus, we are seeking funding to compensate actors and cinematographers, and cover essential expenses like travel and food for filming days. Your support will help us bring our artistic vision to life, and to pay the wonderful artists we collaborate with for their hard work. We appreciate whatever you can give, big or small. We can’t wait to start filming, and have many other projects in the works that we can’t wait to share with you and get started on!
