I came across Gemma's work as the kids I were making teddies for were getting books from Gemma. Well, she's at breaking point and it's time we all show some love to the Keir Family. Let me explain ...
Gemma Kier has spent upto 60 hours per week over the last 5 years producing a series of 30 picture books for children with disabilities. Her work helps thousands of children world wide and this has left the Kier family 19 thousand pounds in debt.
The money from the book sales goes back into charity which gives books out for free (they donated 100 books to the 3dtoyshop play therapy project) and when faced with the decision close the charity or pay a 13k debt on top of the 6k already lost to starting the charity, she borrowed money from family and kept the Abilities in Me foundation producing books.

She volunteers for the charity, going around schools, teaching inclusivity. When she's not doing this she's writing books or working for the charity. Which cant afford to pay her.
When she's not volunteering for the charity, she's looking after her own family. I've copied this bit from her patreon. https://www.patreon.com/theabilitiesinmebookseries/
"I'm a proud mother to three beautiful children: Logan, Caleb, and Savannah-Rose. Logan, our 10-year-old, has 22q deletion syndrome. His journey has included open heart surgery and navigating life with multiple medical conditions, including autism. Caleb, on the other hand, grapples with a sleep disorder. As you can imagine, hospital visits and specialized care form a significant part of our daily life."
Dad Max works in Centre parks when he can, but has to take a lot of time off to care for Gemma and her own medical issues and his kids. And this family is really struggling to survive.
Well I'm not gonna stand by and watch someone who is changing the lives of thousands of disabled kids struggle without doing my bit, so I am asking you to help get this fundraiser to a goal of £19k so the Keir Family will no longer be in debt because of all the amazing work they have done.
I want to be clear. This money is not going to the abilities in me foundation. This is going directly to the Keir Family. Gemma, Max and 3 kids Logan, Caleb, and Savannah-Rose to recover their costs in starting the abilities in me foundation.
If you do decide to help this family, thankyou from the bottom of my heart. And if any of you have children with disabilities, please check out @3dtoyshop teddy hospital so we can make them a friend like them.
I love you all xxx
