Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend Dies Unexpectedly!

Patrick Gavin Duffy, adored husband and father  to wife Dawn Kennedy-Duffy and sons Justin and Matthew Kennedy, of Basking Ridge, NJ, died unexpectedly on June 16, 2018...he was only 42 years old. 

This tragedy has left Dawn, Justin and Matthew, as well as his siblings, family & friends completely shocked and devastated!

Patrick grew up in Cortland NY with his mother Barbara, his late father Gerald and his siblings Steve (Anne Marie), Shelley (Scott) and Tricia (Pat “Butter”). He was close to his family, including many nieces, nephews and cousins; the family always enjoyed many laughs together. Patrick also treasured his friendships, many of which he gained while attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He played lacrosse at West Point and his love for the game never wavered. Although neither of his sons played lacrosse, he volunteered to coach Basking Ridge Youth Sports Lacrosse for 5 years. He loved to coach and he formed lasting bonds with many of his players; he frequently showed up to games to watch and support his beloved players long after he stopped coaching!

He worked for NB+C for 13 years and he valued his relationships with his co-workers and clients, many of whom became friends. He was very recently promoted to Managing Director, a role he had earned and was looking forward to executing to the fullest. 

Patrick was the most loving, caring and selfless husband and father. He enjoyed traveling with his family to The Thousand Islands, watching the NY Rangers & Yankees, taking long walks with Dawn (many people in town saw them walking daily) and cheering for Justin and Matthew as they played ice hockey and baseball. Patrick was known for his good nature, sense of humor, kind spirit, and generosity and he will be missed beyond measure.

The unexpected death of a husband can leave a very uncertain future. Your assistance is greatly appreciated to help Dawn with the enormous expenses this tragic and unexpected death presents. They are left with broken hearts, broken dreams and a life without Patrick. 

Rebuilding a new life while grieving for someone so loved is something we all hope to never face!
