Milton Keynes Kids Christmas Campaign
Donation protected
Auntie Em's Kitchen and Football Fun Factory have teamed with MKGirl and MKCharities and pledged to feed 120 children per day across two sites (60 children per site per day) From the 19th to the 23rd of December 2022.
Aside from filling up hungry tummies, we are also supplying Christmas stockings which will be given to each child on 23rd December. We will be running a fundraising and gift-wrapping event on 15th December, where local members of the community will be able to come and wrap the gifts which will go into the stockings and in return, there will be drinks and pizza as well as Christmas music and festivities for all.
Some of the children who attend Football Fun Factory (FFF) are from families who have been affected by the current cost of living crisis. Our aim is to ensure that the children attending FFF have access to a hot meal provided by Auntie Em's Kitchen each day that they attend. We have created a menu which caters for all tastes and allergens and specifically on the 23rd of December we will do a traditional Christmas turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas crackers.
We have confirmed the use of the test kitchen provided by Advance Innovation Group in Dunstable. Charlotte Moyle is creating video content showing our week in the kitchen and all the events in the build-up to ensure that we reach the biggest audience possible to show how coming together as a community can impact the children in our local area for the better.
To be clear, Auntie Em's Kitchen and FFF are not registered charities, and we are participating in this scheme as part of social responsibility. Any money raised over and above the target will be donated to St Mark's Meals which is a local charity that supplies children in need with food, however, they do this all year round.
£2,500 is needed towards the "Big Wrap"
£1,500 is needed to pay for the food.
