The Klopfenstein’s need our help!

*** Sharon Ruplinger is Maria’s sister and will be using the funds to pay for the Klopfensteins’ van repairs, as well as the bills. ***

Maria has been one of my dearest friends for almost 30 years since we met as camp

counselors in Maine, and I am the proud Godmother of Caleb. Maria has eight beautiful children, 5 boys and 3 girls with the youngest daughter being 4 years old. They live in Martinsville, Indiana.

This family has had over a year of constant struggles, particularly financial and health.  Maria spent months job searching after her husband lost his job. She accepted a job as the director of a small Christian preschool, and their second oldest son works a part-time job after school to help out the family.

A huge setback is Maria’s own health problems. She has suffered frequent migraines since she was a teenager. MRI’s, CAT scans and neurologists cannot provide answers or relief. As a result of daily migraines, she battles weakness and dizziness and her blood pressure has spiked. It became impossible for her to continue to work efficiently. The Klopfensteins now have the impossible task of taking care of their family’s needs including mortgage, utilities, and car payments. About a month ago, their van completely died and they have a major plumbing issue in their house that requires the valve to be turned off. They have sold everything of value and had yard sales; they have turned to family for help to make ends meet; they have applied for state aid. However, the situation they find themselves in is dire, and Maria needs our help.

 If you know the Klopfensteins you know how often they have supported friends and family through difficult times. It is now their hour of need. Please consider a donation to this wonderful family so they can take care of their 8 children, and their personal health problems. They are very hopeful they will recover and find new employment! But until then, they need our love, compassion and assistance. Maria will use the money donated to fix their van so they can get to doctor appointments and future job employment opportunities.
