The Kolkman Family

Hey everyone,

My name is Katie Beaulieu. I am starting this fundraiser to help my dear friend Brittany and her family. Brittany and her husband, Simon, are currently adopting two beautiful children, Journee (age 8) and Major (age 5), with the official adoption taking place in December of this year. Brittany and Simon previously fostered Journee and Major before they returned to their mother nine months ago. Recently Journee and Major lost their current home and everything inside due to a house fire. Luckily at the time of the fire, nobody was inside, and no injuries were reported. This fundraiser will go towards helping the family with adoption costs, furnishing the kid's bedrooms and providing them with new clothing, toys and basic daily needs. In talking with Brittany, she mentioned how the kids are excited to be kids again and know they are back in a stable, safe, loving home. They are eager to do the things they love with Brittany and Simon, like going on vacations to Myrtle beach and going to dinner at Red Robin. Major is already asking when he can call Simon "Dad." Brittany and Simon will be the best parents to these children; anything donated will help with a smooth transition for the growing family. Brittany and Simon are expecting a baby girl in February and are excited to be growing their family by 3.
