The Kris Boyd Charity - Passing Positivity
Donation protected
I am a full time wheelchair user with the condition Duchenne muscular dystrophy. I am able to walk with the aid of leg braces also known as KAFOS. I did a 16 metre walk from my bedroom to my living room, which was a major achievement for me with my condition. The reason i did the walk is to raise funds for the Kris Boyd Charity that supports mental health.
The Kris Boyd Charity (a Registered Charity In Scotland – Scottish Charity Number SCO47532 – for The Advancement of Health) was founded in January, 2018.
Since its inception, Kris, his family, Trustees and the rest of the team have been overwhelmed with the support and generosity from all over the UK, particularly in Ayrshire and West of Scotland.
Scottish football and the wider sporting community has given its full endorsement to what Kris is trying to achieve, many people have backed the Charity with their time, effort and donations.
The foundations have been put down and we now look to keep growing. But we realise that with the ongoing challenges of Covid-19 this is going to be difficult. But we plan to tackle everything head on, expand and offer more services, whether its helping to raise Mental Health awareness and also with increase Partnerships and Relationships with other charities, as well as businesses and support groups.
