Brian, a dedicated door technician and a cornerstone of our work community, is facing a new battle alongside his wife, Nicole, who has been diagnosed with early-stage Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Nicole, 42, is not only Brian's loving wife of 16 years but also a cherished mother to their two daughters, Mackenzie (14) and Audrey (12). For over two decades, Nicole thrived as a teacher, impacting countless lives with her passion and dedication. Sadly, she recently had to make the tough decision to leave her cherished profession due to the progression of this challenging disease.

Mackenzie, a vibrant 14-year-old, shares her mother's passion for life. She plays travel softball, loves fashion, and enjoys spending time with her friends. Audrey, 12, also an avid softball player, is known for her sweet, giving nature and hard work. Both girls reflect the values and love that Nicole has instilled in them. Both girls embody the loving and nurturing environment Brian and Nicole have provided.

ALS has already begun to impact Nicole's daily life. She struggles with the use of her right hand and faces constant pain and fatigue. Despite this, the Kukla family’s spirit remains unbroken, and their determination to fight this disease is inspiring.
