The Lail Family

Hi there,

My name is Alicia Godinez, I am the sister of Christina Lail, and Tia to our precious Amora Dawn.

On July 28th, 2023, Amora turned three. It started as a special day, presents, cupcakes at school, the whole nine yards. Unfortunately, the day took a turn of events very quickly. Later that day on Amora's birthday, the Lail family was sent to Children's Hospital to further investigate Amora's extremely low blood count after seeing a local doctor for her abnormal discoloration.

The Sunday following her admittance to the hospital was the day Christina and Kyle found out their daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia.

If you already have been keeping up with Christina's updates on Facebook, then you might already know how tough this has been for her. It is never easy seeing your precious baby lying in a hospital bed, hurting and uncomfortable. But Christina and Kyle have been so strong for Amora, they deserve something amazing. No parent..no child should have to go through what they are going through. She has been told that treatment can take up to two and a half years...which is why I have decided to create a gofundme for the Lail Family.

Unfortunately, life does not stop when we are hit with huge information like such. With that being said Christina and Kyle will have to take lots of time off of work to take care of their daughter and I just can't stand to add to their stress with loads of medical bills. It is said, on average, per-patient spending in the first year after diagnosis tops $156,000, according to the Milliman research company. And that is just the first year.

Fighting cancer takes a village, we need every willing hand. Even if that means you are unable to help financially, the power of prayer is tremendous.
