Blake Largent has a heart defect called L-TGA (Looped-Transposition of the Great Arteries), which is where his ventricles are switched. His left ventricle is on the right and the right is on the left. He has gone through 2 open-heart surgeries, first being at 3 weeks old.
Blake recently returned to Mott’s Children's Hospital in Michigan for a regularly scheduled Echo. Unfortunately, two issues were found. Doctors found that his pathway for blood to flow to his left ventricle is very narrow. The blood is flowing slowly to his left ventricle, which is causing it to stop functioning. This is causing Blake to go into heart failure. He has been prescribed five new heart failure medications to keep his heart functioning until his third scheduled open-heart surgery on the 9th of May, just one day after his first birthday. The surgery will consist of them opening that pathway so the blood will flow better.
Rose Largent (Rose Hoffman) and her husband Jordan Largent have been such a testament to faith during this challenging process. Many of the residents of the Village of Clinton know this family well and know how graceful their walk with God has been.
Let's help take the burden of groceries, regular household expenses, meals while at the hospital, gas to travel to and from, and the loss of income with while they are with Blake at the hospital.
These funds will be directly sent to the family and will help them de-stress from daily life and focus on Blake.
