The Larson Brothers 4H Lamb Project 2023
Donation protected
We are the Larson brothers! My name is Clay and I am 11 years old. This is my third year showing a lamb. Porter is my little brother. He is 9 years old and it’s his first year showing.
On Wednesday, August 2nd, we are showing our lambs at our local fair, then selling them at the auction on Saturday. I am showing my little brother the ropes and learning a lot in the process .
We are looking for potential buyers and boosts.
This year my family put together a 4-H Lamb Club to help my friends show lambs with us. We are called the Lambassadors.
We have both enjoyed 4-H so far. We have been to clinics to learn about lambs and how to show them. It has been a lot of work to feed morning and night. Our lambs will be judged for quality. We will be judged for our showmanship. Our goal this year is to get a ribbon in both. We have been working hard to prepare.
Our financial goal for this year is to earn money to go towards college and starting a business. Our target is to earn $35 a pound. By sale time both our lambs, Lil Lambchop and Dwayne, should weigh about 135 pounds each. We will first repay the loan our dad gave us to buy the lambs and the feed costs, then put the rest in my savings.
If you are interested in being the buyer or giving us a boost there are a few options-
First, you can purchase the lamb at the auction and decide to process the lamb or do a resale.
Second, you can donate an amount that is considered a “boost”. This can be a flat rate or a dollar amount per pound that will be added to the sale price. We appreciate your time and consideration for sponsoring us.
Sincerely,
